Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Systems Engineering Technologist II to join our team at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. This role is responsible for performing evaluations, repairs, and maintenance on medical devices used in patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare technology management and possess excellent technical skills. They will work independently with minimal supervision, delivering exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, repair, and maintain medical devices used in patient care
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Participate in continuing education and training
  • Contribute to the development of facility and vendor relationships
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare technology management
  • Professional certification in a relevant field (e.g., CBET, CRES, CLES, or CHTM)
  • Advanced modality HTM expertise, including clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology, or high-end biomedical devices
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel periodically
