The Director of Retail Lending provides leadership to the Retail Lending Team to effectively support the sales and lending process consistent with association goals.

Primary responsibilities include leading, coaching and developing team members across multiple retail locations in order to deliver exceptional, customer-centric, financial services experience by facilitating workflow and processes.

Coordinates and collaborates with leaders across the association by supporting the overall customer experience and sales delivery to drive consistency, work share, and the overall success through participating in committees, projects and strategic initiatives.

Defines team operating standards and monitoring internal procedures and processes while adhering to compliance and regulatory laws.

Achieves results through remote leadership of team members throughout their assigned marketplace as well as influencing team members in other areas of the organization.

Leads and coaches others, setting team's direction, evaluating performance, maintaining accountability in performance, compensation and other employment decisions.

Conducts loan reviews per the loan review guidelines and using the findings to grant authorities, coach and develop operations team members and provide meaningful feedback to Regional Vice Presidents.

Establishes and maintains internal and external relationships while participating in Association and industry organizations to gain knowledge, share information, and enhancing the Association's brand.

Represents and communicates the mission and values of Farm Credit Mid-America.

Complies with conduct policy, security policy and confidentiality expectations.

Any additional duties needed to help fulfill our Mission and abide by Our Compass.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, Business or related field preferred. High school or GED required. 7-9 years professional experience in financial services, lending, customer support or similar related field.

This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage.
