Research Engineering at SeiIn close collaboration with our engineering team, you will lead the design and evaluation efforts aimed at enhancing the Sei Blockchain.
Utilizing your extensive knowledge and insights into mechanisms employed in existing blockchain ecosystems, you will explore various design options for Sei, with a focus on optimizing blockchain performance.
Your contributions will encompass a wide range of areas, including improvements to the execution layer (e.g., parallelization) and consensus algorithms. Ultimately, your work will be vital in advancing our mission to scale the EVM.

Responsibilities- Stay informed about significant developments in the cryptocurrency sector.
- This includes infrastructure (L1s, L2s, execution layers, consensus layers, DA layers, storage, MEV, intents, etc.) and applications (Wallets/UIs, DeFi, Games, Social).
- Conduct analyses and generate ideas for potential projects that Sei should pursue, effectively communicating these concepts internally and externally.
- Collaborate with core engineers to develop these products.
- Create design documents and whitepapers, assisting the broader engineering team in keeping abreast of Web3 trends.
