Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide will assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, following established policies and procedures. This role will also involve preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen according to health standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in meal preparation and service
  • Prepare and deliver food and trays
  • Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
  • Interact with residents, staff, and facility guests in a positive, pleasant, and tactful manner
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
