Special Warfare Combat Crewman

As a Special Warfare Combat Crewman, you will be part of an elite defense force that conducts high-risk warfare and reconnaissance missions in river and coastline settings. Your duties will include inserting and extracting Navy SEALs from classified locations, collecting data on enemy military installations and shipping traffic, and operating and maintaining ordnance systems and small boats.
Responsibilities- Insert and extract Navy SEALs and other Special Operations personnel from various Naval Surface Warfare vessels
- Collect and analyze data on enemy military installations and shipping traffic in coastal areas
- Assist other military and civilian law enforcement agencies
- Operate and maintain ordnance systems, communications, electronics, and small boats
- Perform direct action raids against enemy shipping and waterborne traffic
- Provide rapid mobility in shallow water areas
- Integrate with other U.S. Special Operations forces or within U.S. Navy carrier and expeditionary strike groups
As a Special Warfare Combat Crewman, you will be deployed anywhere in the world and operate in various environments, including cold weather, desert, tropical, and jungle environments. Your work will involve a mix of training, missions, and administrative duties.
Training and AdvancementYou will undergo rigorous physical and mental training, including Naval Special Warfare Orientation, Basic SWCC Training, and Crewman Qualification Training. Promotion opportunities are available based on performance.
Education OpportunitiesThe Navy offers various education opportunities, including access to professional credentials and certifications, and undergraduate degree programs through the Navy College Program and Tuition Assistance.
Qualifications and Requirements- Meet specific eyesight requirements
- Meet the minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score
- Be 30 years of age or younger
- Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance
You should possess mechanical skills, study habits, arithmetic, and basic algebra, and be able to work as a team. You should also be in excellent physical condition and motivated to endure rigorous physiological demands.
