Job Overview

Position Summary: The primary objective of this role is to execute a diverse range of electrical maintenance activities.

This includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as installation, fabrication, assembly, setup, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of maintenance work on industrial equipment, services, and facilities. Proficiency in using hand tools and maintenance skills is essential. Responsibilities will involve interpreting blueprints, sketches, and both written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize programming software to identify and resolve issues on PLCs, Robots, and HMIs, employing tools like RSLogix 500/5000 and Fanuc Robotics teach pendant.
  • Update and modify plant documentation using AutoCAD Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Conduct troubleshooting on energized lines, circuits, and connections across various voltage levels, including 110V, 220V, and 440V, with potential exposure to voltages up to 12,500V at distribution transformers.
  • Operate a variety of diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical tools.
  • Calibrate sensors, SCRs, and additional equipment as necessary.
  • Design, construct, and implement testing equipment to support production and engineering operations.
  • Provide cross-training in various skills to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate as part of a work team, utilizing business skills such as writing and entering work orders, interfacing with engineering teams, and managing time distribution, quotes, and estimates.
  • Work independently to coordinate preventive maintenance, rebuilds, shutdowns, and tasks involving other employees as required.
  • Exhibit creativity in addressing complex problems and train others in maintenance techniques suitable for sensitive processes.
  • Contribute as a team member by documenting processes, preparing maintenance projects and layouts, and interfacing with customers, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring quality and timeliness in work methods and practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Preferred: 2-year Electrical Technician/Electrician degree.
  • General understanding of electrical theory and best practices.
  • Ability to handle weights between 16-50 lbs, work overhead in challenging positions, and perform bench work for instrument and motor repairs.
  • Experience in repairing machinery, including troubleshooting live circuitry.
  • Ability to work in hot environments.
  • Proficient in using computers and other equipment requiring mental exertion.
