Job Description

The Automation Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems for various industries. This role requires a strong understanding of process automation, control systems, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement control systems for process automation, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA configuration.
  • Develop and deploy software applications for automation system projects, including data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation systems with other business processes.
  • Conduct site acceptance tests and factory acceptance tests to ensure system functionality and quality.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve automation system design and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in process automation, control systems, or software development.
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA configuration.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Modicon PLCs.
  • Experience with Ignition or VTScada software.
  • Knowledge of general IT and networking concepts.
