Job Summary:The Dietary Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the functions and personnel within the dietary department. This includes ensuring the provision of quality food service and nutrition care to residents in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, direct, and control the dietary department's operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and nutrition care.
- Supervise and train dietary staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality resident care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the dietary department's efficiency and effectiveness.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP), or Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) preferred.
- Prior dietary supervisory experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living (AL), or Memory Care (MC) setting required.
- Certification in food safety, as required by state regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
