Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in addressing and resolving customer billing inquiries efficiently, as detailed in the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address billing inquiries, discrepancies, and concerns from clients and internal staff in a professional and timely manner to foster positive customer relationships.
  • Review invoices, contracts, and relevant documentation to assess the legitimacy of any complaints or discrepancies.
  • Act as a liaison among internal departments to gather necessary information.
  • Identify the root causes of issues and assist in developing strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Inform customers and relevant internal personnel of findings, recommendations, or necessary adjustments, such as refunds or contract modifications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses are created and maintained.
  • Support the upkeep of precise customer data in the database in accordance with company protocols.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain comprehensive records related to collection activities for assigned accounts, including payment agreements and call documentation.
  • Manage short payments and overpayments for designated accounts, advising customers and coordinating with the credit processor as needed.
  • Investigate credit applications, communicate approval or denial statuses to customers, and document essential credit information following company guidelines.
  • Establish new accounts, determine credit limits based on financial assessments, business history, and credit reports, while maintaining accurate records of new accounts.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.
