Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and contractual workers to ensure efficient and effective property management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage rent collection, bank deposits, and tenant selection processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including tenant files, waiting lists, and lease agreements.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs, ensuring that the property is well-maintained and meets regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in affordable housing property management, preferably with HUD, Tax Credit, or other low-income housing programs.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of managing staff and teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate reports and correspondence.
  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, with experience using Yardi or similar software.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate with residents and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong commitment to customer service.
