Position Overview
The Senior Utility Technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. This position involves a variety of skilled labor tasks and manual work to ensure the efficient operation of essential utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts manual labor activities, including the installation of pipes and fittings for water and wastewater systems.
  • Operates various vehicles, including dump trucks and crew trucks, as well as front-end loaders and skid loaders.
  • Excavates and backfills trenches to facilitate repairs and maintenance.
  • Transports tools, equipment, and materials to job sites while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Loads and unloads materials from trucks and ensures vehicles are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Follows established safety protocols and promotes a safe working environment.
  • Interprets maps and assists in setting up work zones for traffic control.
  • Responsible for inventory management of tools and materials.
  • Provides training on the proper use of tools and equipment to team members.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Decision-Making Authority
This role operates under immediate supervision, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid Texas Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.
