About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Alden Long Grove Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Monitor and Report Changes: Observe and report any changes in a resident's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff, ensuring timely interventions and adjustments to their care plan.
  • Assist with Medication Management: Assist with the administration of medications and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
  • Support Rehabilitation Efforts: Encourage and support residents in their rehabilitation efforts, promoting mobility, strength, and functional independence.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by maintaining a clean and organized environment, reporting any hazards or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and resident satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Successful completion of a nursing arts course in an accredited nurse training program or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current CPR certification and any other certifications required by the state or facility.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
