Job Summary

The Food Service Assistant is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality food service. This role involves monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and receiving payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record proper food temperatures to ensure food safety and quality
  • Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area, including tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Prepare and serve food items, including hot and cold beverages
  • Restock food areas and supplies as needed
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, including dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
  • Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers
  • Maintain quality control standards and comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service
Requirements
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Previous customer service experience, retail counting, and reconciliation of money
  • Knowledge of food service and safety procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform basic math
