Job Summary and QualificationsWe are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to our patients. Our team is supportive and hardworking, and we seek a remarkable addition who shares our commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment while assisting in surgical procedures and preparing patients for surgery.
- Show knowledge of the necessary preparations for various surgical procedures.
- Assess patients prior to surgery, ensuring they comprehend the procedure and that a 'timeout' is conducted with the surgical team.
- Exhibit teamwork and adaptability, serving as a resource for the Surgical Services team.
- Be accountable for delivering quality nursing care and promoting a positive image of the nursing profession.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a BSN is preferred.
- At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting is required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in Texas or a Multi-State Compact License (Texas RN License must be obtained within 90 days of hire for those with a Compact License).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
