Veteran Case Manager

Role Overview

As a dedicated Case Manager for our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting veterans in their recovery journey. This position requires a strong understanding of treatment programs and the Veterans Administration, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively work with treatment and mental health systems.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs and refer them to psychologists for further testing if necessary
Develop and present detailed treatment plans to the Court
Facilitate client placements into appropriate treatment programs and assist with securing benefits such as public assistance, SSD/SSI, housing, and medical care
Maintain meticulous client records, conduct regular follow-ups, and escort clients to treatment facilities when needed
Lead Seeking Safety groups to support veteran clients in their recovery journey

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related mental health field, or equivalent experience in substance abuse and mental health
Knowledge of treatment programs and the Veterans Administration is essential
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with treatment and mental health systems
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and database software
