Position Summary:

Jim Willis and Sons Builders is seeking a dedicated Construction Site Assistant to join our team of experienced professionals. This is a full-time, first shift role at various construction sites in the Greater Rochester, NY region. Compensation for this position ranges from $18-22/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Construction Site Assistant will collaborate with our skilled Craftsmen, providing support in various tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently. Responsibilities will encompass masonry, framing, drywall installation, finish carpentry, and more. While prior experience in construction is advantageous, it is not mandatory. A willingness to learn and a passion for hands-on work are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • General construction assistance
  • Loading, unloading, and organizing materials and tools
  • Site cleanup and maintenance
  • Working in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year
  • Performing miscellaneous construction tasks as directed

Qualifications

  • Basic hand tools and tool belt/apron
  • Fundamental math skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
