Attractive Sign-On Bonus Available

Receive a total of $3,000 for full-time employment, with $600 after the first 90 days in good standing, followed by $600 every quarter until fully paid out.

Role Objective:

To ensure that the personal care requirements of residents are fulfilled in alignment with their preferences and care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responds promptly to calls from residents through signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to assess their needs and ensures call lights are accessible.
  • Regularly checks on residents who may be unable to call for assistance.
  • Provides direct personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicates procedures clearly to residents.
  • Assists residents with daily living activities as needed.
  • Supports residents with bowel and bladder functions.
  • Helps residents prepare for and transport them to appointments, activities, and social events.
  • Assists with lifting, positioning, and moving residents safely in accordance with their specific needs.
  • Provides incontinent care as required.
  • Ensures residents are dressed appropriately for the weather.
  • Informs supervisors if residents require clothing.
  • Changes bed linens and adheres to infection control protocols.
  • Assists residents with meals, documenting their intake.
  • Delivers and records all snacks and nutritional supplements.
  • Encourages residents to stay hydrated as outlined in their care plans.
  • Reviews and implements daily nursing tasks as specified by care plans or nursing supervisors.
  • Facilitates mobility for residents and assists with transportation needs.
  • Turns and repositions residents who are bedbound, either independently or with assistance.
  • Records vital signs and other health metrics as directed.
  • Monitors residents' activities and reports any changes to nursing supervisors.
  • Participates in nursing reports during shift changes.
  • Communicates any changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.
  • Cleans and returns equipment to designated areas after use.
  • Maintains cleanliness in resident units, bathing areas, treatment rooms, and supply areas.
  • Provides post-mortem care as instructed.
  • Accurately documents all care provided.
  • Engages in ongoing training and attends staff meetings.
  • Understands and upholds the principles of resident rights.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to effectively communicate with residents and nursing staff. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Previous experience as a long-term care nursing assistant is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of a State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program is required. Good standing in the state registry is essential.
