Ambulatory Housekeeper Job Description

Xanitos, a leading provider of ambulatory cleaning services, is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Housekeeper to join our team at Rockville Lab in Rockville, MD.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and physically fit individual to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our ambulatory facilities. As an Ambulatory Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
  • Clean and disinfect rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Sweep and/or vacuum floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Dust furniture and equipment to prevent dust buildup and maintain a clean appearance.
  • Polish metalwork to maintain a high level of shine and cleanliness.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a clear view and prevent dirt buildup.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
  • Transport small equipment or tools between departments to maintain efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus.
  • Medical cleaning experience is a plus.
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening, and Drug Test required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.

Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
