Riverside Research Institute Job Description

Riverside Research Institute is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at the Radar Assessment and Development Lab (RAD Lab) in Centreville, VA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to develop solutions for our Collection Orchestration Planning Suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in building system designs, working with development teams, and finding fast and quality solutions to critical problems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop system designs based on evolving customer requirements
  • Work with the development team to execute designs and find fast and quality solutions to critical problems
  • Perform sensor mission planning performance assessment, including constructing system designs for new features and communicating with users and development teams
  • Analyze technical data for a wide array of engineering problems involving large-scale GEOINT systems
  • Investigate and root-cause analysis of system and software performance anomalies
  • Assist with system modernization and system architecture studies
  • Provide test support, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), algorithm prototyping, and simulation
  • Investigate and mitigate system and software performance anomalies
  • Analyze system and mission requirements, feasibility studies, system modernization, and architecture studies
  • Work across multiple agencies and stakeholders to develop solutions and build a consensus
Qualifications
  • TS/SCI ability to obtain and submit to CI Poly
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or comparable technical field
  • 5+ years' experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years with a Master's Degree
  • Solid understanding of Satellite Mission Planning functionality, performance limitations, and mission support requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage customer relationships and identify and pursue emerging opportunities
  • Experience working with.NET, Java, C#, Python applications
  • Proficient knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Databases, and Web/Cloud applications

Compensation

The typical compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $165,000, based on experience, location, and other factors.
