Muslim Chaplain

Job Summary:

The Muslim Chaplain will provide spiritual care and guidance to incarcerated individuals of the Muslim faith. This role involves conducting religious services, counseling, and education programs to promote spiritual growth and well-being.

• Conduct regular religious services and ceremonies for Muslim inmates
• Provide individual and group counseling on spiritual and moral issues
• Develop and implement educational programs on Islamic values and practices
• Collaborate with other chaplains and prison staff to promote interfaith understanding and respect
• Ensure compliance with prison policies and procedures regarding religious services and activities

• Master's degree in divinity, theology, or a related field
• Experience working in a prison or correctional setting
• Knowledge of Islamic faith and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

This position requires working in a prison environment, which can be challenging and stressful at times. The successful candidate must be able to maintain a professional demeanor and provide compassionate care to inmates despite the challenging circumstances.
