Job Overview

Job Summary:

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our pediatric team at SRS San Diego Main. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young patients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and conducting medical procedures as needed.
  • Assist patients and families with education and support, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of our pediatric care services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Current California LVN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification.
  • Knowledge of pediatric nursing principles and practices, including child development and growth.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a collaborative team.
