Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, performing designated procedures and treatments within the LVN scope of practice.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to maximize customer service and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Contribute to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population.
  • Perform other duties as needed, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of Vocational Nursing.
  • Minimum of six months of experience as an LVN required.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in Pediatric Pulmonology preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Able to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality.
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Perform technical patient care activities as required.
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies.
  • Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.

Licensures and Certifications
  • Active California Vocational Nursing license (LVN) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • California Intravenous (IV) certification for designated areas preferred.
