Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric LVN to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a Pediatric LVN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients, staff, and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written order.
  • Prepare patient for examination or procedure, obtain complete and accurate consent for procedures/surgery, and prepare and label biopsies in a thorough and accurate manner.
  • Accurately document patient care per protocol and partner with physicians to continuously learn and expand clinical knowledge base.
  • Use universal precautions and demonstrate knowledge of infection control policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to PSRs in resolving issues related to front desk responsibilities, including scheduling and telephone management.
  • Participate in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.

Requirements
  • California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
  • 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area - PREFERRED
  • Ambulatory care experience - PREFERRED
  • ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
  • IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - Various-Employee provides certificate - PREFERRED
