Job Description

At Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited), we are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing support services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist habilitation counselors and clinical team members in the evaluation of participants and participate in the development of individual treatment plans.
  • Implement participant's individual treatment plans by following prescribed methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of participant's progress and report any changes in condition or health care concerns to nursing staff.
  • Accompany participants to and from buses/vans and ensure their safety when getting on and off vehicles.
  • Monitor participant's lunches/snacks and report any dietary concerns to nursing staff.
  • Participate in special programs/projects, inclusionary and volunteer opportunities.
  • Attend mandatory in-services and specialized training programs as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
