Job Title: Liquid Systems Engineer III

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We're seeking a highly skilled Liquid Systems Engineer III to join our team and contribute to the success of our mission.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a talented engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of our liquid distribution subsystems. As a Liquid Systems Engineer III, you'll be responsible for providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems that meet our stringent safety and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and integration of liquid distribution subsystems
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality systems that meet safety and performance requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system-level solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in fluids and mechanical systems/components
  • Experience developing, integrating, and certifying aerospace systems for flight
  • Experience with fluid/gas components, such as solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels, and instrumentation
  • Experience leading small teams and subcontractor teams to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Familiarity with agile or waterfall project management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Systems Engineering experience, specifically requirements and interface definition, management, and verification
  • Cryogenic fluids experience
  • Work with 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs (ANSYS preferred)
  • Experience with upper stages and spacecraft
  • Experience with the entire life cycle of a propulsion and fluid system

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $111,690-$115,366, depending on location.
