The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting daily operations within our boutique. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about retail and eager to engage with the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service both in-store and online, including greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with styling and product selection.
- Act as a brand ambassador, sharing insights about our mission and values, and contributing to team objectives.
- Prepare merchandise for display, including receiving donations, conducting quality checks, and pricing items.
- Implement loss prevention strategies through proactive customer engagement.
- Collaborate with staff, participants, and volunteers to enhance the store's operations.
- Manage customer transactions efficiently using the POS system, handling cash, credit, and gift card payments.
Online Sales Management
- Lead and promote weekly online sales by curating product selections, crafting descriptions, and marketing items effectively.
- Prepare and dispatch e-commerce orders promptly.
Store Maintenance
- Ensure a clean and organized sales environment by maintaining cleanliness and visual appeal.
- Conduct daily merchandising tasks, including styling displays and replenishing stock.
Operational Duties
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including store cleaning and sales reporting.
- Support job training participants through coaching and assistance with daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.
