As a Lead IT Applications Specialist, you will engage in a client-facing capacity, overseeing the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and continuous support of our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with various business units and stakeholders to collect and execute enhancement requests.
  • Diagnosing and resolving system-related issues while effectively communicating updates to management, business process owners, and users.
  • Maintaining comprehensive IT Applications documentation, including transforming User Requirement Specifications into Detailed Design Specifications, and drafting Configuration Test Plans and summary reports.
  • Configuring various report types, including tabular, trend, and labels.
  • Performing routine administrative tasks associated with functional support and general user account management.
  • Offering Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and collaborating closely with functional departments on projects aimed at developing, implementing, and enhancing the system.
  • Assisting with application-related inquiries before, during, and after Regulatory/Partner inspections.
  • Managing IT Applications change control requests.
  • Partnering with Validation and Quality departments to ensure IT Applications are executed following a structured development life cycle.
  • Training fellow IT Applications personnel.
  • Coordinating with other IT Applications team members to ensure efficient system implementation.
  • Providing end-user support for IT Applications, including troubleshooting issues at the application server level.
  • Participating in or leading IT Applications systems security access and periodic audit trail reviews.
  • Contributing to the classification and risk assessment of data types.
  • Extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from Oracle databases.
  • Utilizing Oracle tools for data analysis tasks, such as SQL Developer and Oracle Data Miner, and generating automated data reports using Oracle database systems.
  • Employing Oracle and application performance monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve issues related to Oracle database performance and capacity.

This position may be suitable for you if:

  • You have a background in technical writing and process mapping.
  • You demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You possess experience in project management.

To qualify for this role, you should hold a BS/BA/BEng in Information Technology or a related discipline, along with 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable position. We may consider professional experience in lieu of formal education; the level will be determined upon completion of the interview process. Project Management experience and professional certification are preferred.
