Job Summary

The Goddard School of Eagan, MN is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters the growth and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote a love of learning and foster a sense of curiosity in children.
  • Classroom Management: Create a safe, inclusive, and organized classroom environment that encourages socialization and exploration.
  • Family Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas, and adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
  • Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
