About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Saint Michael's Medical Center. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care in the peri-operative setting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, directing and guiding OR Technicians and other personnel.
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing, adhering to regulations, standards, and hospital policies.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
