About the Position

The Dishroom Attendant is responsible for enhancing and supporting the overall dining experience for our residents, family members, and guests. The Dishroom Attendant is accountable for the safe loading, running, and cleanliness of the dish machine and to provide a neat, clean, and organized dish area. This is to be handled with The Sterling Touch. With service being professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, and in a timely manner, resulting in a very high level of satisfaction for Residents and their guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the dish machine to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Load and unload dishes, utensils, and equipment in a safe and organized manner.
  • Ensure the dish area is clean and organized, adhering to company standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Residents, family members, and guests.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year or more of fine dining or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with other employees, Residents, and guests.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms to use all kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and work continuously without sitting for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
