The Overnight In-Room Dining Server is a key member of our team at Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests during the overnight shift. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Set up and deliver VIP amenities, ensuring that every guest feels special.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S system and use it to process orders and manage inventory.
  • Deliver orders according to established standards, ensuring that every guest receives their order accurately and on time.
  • Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dishroom, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Conduct floor sweeps and retrieve all food and beverage trays, ensuring that the guest rooms and public areas are clean and tidy.
  • Ensure the quality of food and beverage being delivered, communicating with the kitchen and manager as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver amenities, replenishing as needed to ensure that every guest has everything they need.
  • Call all guests before delivery of order, ensuring that they are aware of their order and any special requests.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials, up-selling items to guests as needed.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, side-work duties, and cashiering functions according to station rotation assignment and hotel policies.
  • Respond to customer needs, issues, comments, and problems, ensuring a quality experience and enhancing future sales.
  • Report all communications to the immediate shift supervisor, maintaining open and effective communication throughout the shift.
Requirements
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings, maintaining regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
