About the Role:

This executive position plays a vital part in Lakelands Concrete Products, Inc.'s leadership team, providing strategic guidance and oversight on key organizational matters. As a key member of the executive team, you will be instrumental in driving policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Human Resources support to Lakelands Concrete Products, Inc. employees, managers, and executives, focusing on talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, employee relations, HR systems and processes, and organizational design and effectiveness.
  • Investigate and analyze employee requests, concerns, and complaints, providing recommendations to resolve issues, including potential legal claims, while collaborating with external agencies as needed.
  • Oversee the administration of HR processes, including content development, interpretation, deployment, and communication.
  • Manage Lakelands Concrete Products, Inc.'s payroll, ensuring accurate processing and tax compliance.
  • Support business leaders on compensation matters, including employee retention programs, off-cycle salary increases, and other compensation initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to support the company's growth.
  • Oversee diversity initiatives, including partner identification, vendor management, and employment programs.
  • Enhance company awareness through communication efforts and branding initiatives, utilizing social media platforms.
  • Establish and maintain an HR budget.
  • Administer the company's drug programs, including DOT and Non-DOT random testing, and maintain records for CDL drivers.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legal requirements and government regulations affecting the business, including OSHA, EEO, ERISA, and Wage and Hour issues.
  • Manage administrative duties related to Safety compliance.
  • Design and maintain training programs for all levels of employees.
  • Oversee all HR operational aspects, including compliance, legal, and regulatory initiatives, collaborating with external consultants as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic initiatives, identifying key questions, issues, and roadblocks facing the company.
  • Oversight of outside vendor procurement initiatives, creating robust and rigorous processes and guidelines.
  • Manage IT support, engaging external resources as needed.
  • Design processes to drive continuous improvement, ensuring visibility into new tools, products, and initiatives.
  • Liaison for real estate and office maintenance operations.

Working Conditions:

This role operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits to facilities stockrooms. The position requires regular use of standard office equipment and frequent walking, standing, and talking. Occasional lifting of products and supplies, up to 20 pounds, is also necessary.
