Job Summary:

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction project, ensuring timely and profitable completion. This includes planning, organizing, and supervising specific portions of construction work, as well as maintaining continuity of job progress and maximizing efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate construction activities to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Supervise and direct construction personnel, including subcontractors, to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor and control construction costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project procedures and working documents.
  • Authorize purchase requisitions and field design change requests under supervision.
  • Responsible for overall project safety, including reviewing and auditing site-specific safety documentation.
  • Complete daily field reports and take pictures to document construction progress.
  • Assess future work activities and identify concerns with work plans.
  • Develop and maintain as-built sets of drawings and answer RFIs with assistance from Assistant Project Manager or Field Engineer.
  • Direct and manage subcontractors to comply with the established project schedule and track progress.
  • Oversee the construction of complete buildings and/or structures.
  • Read, interpret, and understand civil, foundation, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of construction management experience or craft supervision experience on T&D projects.
  • Associate's degree and 9 years of construction management experience or craft supervision experience on T&D projects.
  • High school diploma/GED and 11 years of construction management experience or craft supervision experience on T&D projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and a strong safety background.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to meet company driving requirements.
