About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plant Operator to join our team at Wilbur-Ellis. As a Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fertilizer production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of fertilizer plant operations and safety, including general housekeeping and organization, unloading bulk fertilizer, and operating front-end loader, forklift, and railcar mover.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep, including repair, maintenance, and safety issues on all facility equipment.
  • Secure facility at the end of each day and wear proper safety equipment.
  • Report any damage or issues with equipment to a manager immediately and complete required training and attend required safety meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to frequently climb ladders or steps, work from heights, and lift or move up to 100 lbs. while working in a non-climate controlled and often dusty environment.
  • Good math and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
  • Willingness to work overtime hours during busy seasons.
