Key Responsibilities- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
- Respond to emergency situations, including calls for service and incidents
- Engage with the community to build trust and partnerships, and provide education and outreach on public safety issues
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to address crime and public safety concerns
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have completed 60 semester units or equivalent work experience
- Have successfully completed a State of California POST Basic Police Academy within the last 24 months
- Possess a valid State of California POST Basic Police Academy Certificate
- Possess and maintain a valid class C California driver's license
- Record must be free from any felony convictions or convictions that would bar the applicant from legally possessing a firearm
