Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Hamilton Health Care System. As a Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex clinical laboratory tests and procedures, maintaining and calibrating scientific equipment, and providing education to laboratory students and personnel.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires flexible scheduling and may involve exposure to normal hazards of a clinical laboratory setting, such as disease-bearing specimens, toxic chemicals, and hazardous wastes. You will work under stress of time constraints and workload, and may be subject to call-back as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or equivalent certification. Recent graduation is accepted, and you must meet Georgia State Laws of licensure of clinical laboratories. You will also require manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and ability to distinguish sound in low to high range. Additionally, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with other healthcare providers by telephone, and have visual acuity, basic mathematical skills, and color discrimination ability.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
