Commercial Account Manager

At Scott Insurance, we're seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Manager to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in delivering world-class service to our clients, primarily mid-market companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Producer in handling and processing commercial business, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage accounts in accordance with agency standards and workflows, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to place business, leveraging your expertise in property & casualty insurance and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Process new business/renewal applications, endorsements, certificates, cancellations, audits, and check policies, preparing proposals and binders as needed.
  • Review and interpret coverage for new and renewal policies, ensuring accuracy in rating, typing coverage, and signatures.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, and carriers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives business growth and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • CISR and/or CIC designations preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and effectively prioritize.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
