We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting and Billing Coordinator to join our team at United Counseling Services.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing bills, and ensuring timely payment receipt. You will also investigate and update payer information, process payments and adjustments, and reconcile payment reports with the Cash Receipts Journal.

As an Accounting and Billing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the A/R team and ensuring that payments are received promptly. You will also investigate and process third-party and Medicare paybacks, provide documentation for billing adjustments, and create special billing for programs and roll-up services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate records and processing bills
  • Investigating and updating payer information
  • Processing payments, adjustments, and reconciliations
  • Investigating and processing paybacks

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and excellent computer skills. They will also possess a strong understanding of billing systems, HIPAA compliance, and electronic claims submission.

Salary: $19.44 - $19.44 per hour. Located in Bennington, VT.
