Job Overview for Customer Relationship Banker Position:

In this role, you will work under the guidance of an Assistant Manager or Community President, focusing on providing exceptional service in a dual capacity (Platform/60% Teller). The Customer Relationship Banker is tasked with executing teller transactions, assisting current customers, and presenting product and service options to both existing clients and potential customers when suitable and advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions efficiently while maintaining a high standard of integrity and accuracy.
  • Enhance and strengthen customer relationships by assessing their needs and recommending suitable products and services.
  • Refer customers to other relevant business lines to fulfill their requirements.
  • Manage the opening, maintenance, and closing of deposit accounts and services accurately.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve account-related issues, both via phone and in-person.
  • Conduct service-related activities, including onboarding calls and timely follow-ups with customers.
  • Engage in proactive sales and cross-selling initiatives, including outreach based on campaign lists and following up on received referrals.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of WaterStone Bank's core processing systems, products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory standards governing retail deposit accounts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and external factors that may impact the banking sector.
  • Adhere strictly to internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Required: A minimum of 6 months in sales and/or customer service.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a sales-driven environment with a strong focus on customer service.

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in business or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Required: Banker Certification within 6 months of hire or promotion.
