The AIS Infrastructure Group is composed of several civil and vertical construction firms. Our expertise encompasses infrastructure enhancement, heavy civil construction, vertical building, and site development for governmental and private sectors throughout the United States.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Construction Supervisor is tasked with directing and managing construction and industrial service initiatives. This role is vital for ensuring the effective delivery of projects while complying with the company's safety regulations and standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise a team of construction personnel and subcontractors.
- Organize and schedule work tasks to guarantee the timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Assess work progress and quality to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Implement safety protocols and foster a safety-oriented culture within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Capability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to restricted facilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction sector.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Proficiency with relevant construction software and tools.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in using construction tools, equipment, and software.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role primarily involves outdoor work at construction sites, with exposure to varying weather conditions and potential hazards. Physical demands include lifting, standing, and operating heavy machinery, with possible flexible hours and occasional travel.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical tasks may involve lifting heavy items, operating machinery, and working in diverse weather conditions. Mental challenges may include managing multiple responsibilities, making decisions under pressure, and addressing stressful situations.
