About the Position

The George Mason University Office of the University Counsel is seeking an experienced Attorney to serve as a key member of our team. As a University Attorney, you will provide legal services to the University, including representation, contract review, and transactional matters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation to the University on a wide range of matters, including construction, real estate, and finance.
  • Assist in the review and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Support the University's procurement and sponsored research activities.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the Office of the University Counsel to provide comprehensive legal services to the University.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have a JD degree and a minimum of five years of experience in the general practice of law. You will also have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preference will be given to applicants with specific experience in the representation of higher education institutions.
