**Job Title:** City of Portland Custodial Worker Position

**Location:** Maine Employer - Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department

**Estimated Salary:** $19.76 per hour (based on 20 hours per week)

This is a part-time custodial worker position responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of facilities in the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for event set up and clean up, routing exterior maintenance including snow removal, and other routine facility maintenance as necessary.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:*** Ability to lift and move heavy objects over an extended period of time.* Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.* Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.* Physical strength and agility necessary to perform the essential functions of the work.* Prior customer service experience desired.

**Benefits:*** This is a union position with Labor & Trades (Grade 11).* Starting at $19.76 per hour.* Other benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
