Job Title: Production Chemist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Chemist to join our team at Actalent. As a Production Chemist, you will be responsible for performing protein purification and specific assays on a daily basis. You will also perform antibody, antigen, and other type purifications, as well as molecular techniques such as gel electrophoresis. Additionally, you will perform titrations and pipetting, specifically using a micro pipette. You will be responsible for maintaining single donor antigens and purifying these using chromatography. You will also clean and dispose of contaminated waste or any other non-reusable materials. Furthermore, you will clean and sanitize vials and other equipment for laboratory use. You will aid in the preparation of materials used for manufacturing ELISA plates and other lab-based materials. You will also perform documentation of lab results, including temperatures, times, materials, etc., into the ERP system. You will follow GLP's and other GMP and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform protein purification and specific assays on a daily basis
* Perform antibody, antigen, and other type purifications
* Perform molecular techniques such as gel electrophoresis
* Perform titrations and pipetting using a micro pipette
* Maintain single donor antigens and purify these using chromatography

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
* Strong knowledge of protein purification and molecular techniques
* Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
