Job Description

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Production Chemist to join our team. As a Production Chemist, you will be responsible for performing protein purification and specific assays on a daily basis. You will also be involved in performing antibody, antigen, and other type purifications, as well as molecular techniques such as gel electrophoresis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform protein purification and specific assays on a daily basis.
  • Perform antibody, antigen, and other type purifications.
  • Perform molecular techniques such as gel electrophoresis.
  • Perform titrations and pipetting using a micro pipette.
  • Maintain single donor antigens and purification of these using chromatography.
  • Clean and dispose of contaminated waste or non-reusable materials.
  • Clean and sanitize vials and equipment for laboratory use.
  • Aid in the preparation of materials used for manufacturing ELISA plates and other lab-based materials.
  • Document lab results, including temperatures, times, materials, and other relevant information, into the ERP system.
  • Follow GLP's, GMP, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology.

Work Environment:

  • This is a laboratory environment with a clean and safe working space.
  • You will work closely with a team of 20 people, including the manager, and will be involved in assisting them with their daily lab work.
  • Hours are flexible, typically starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m., with 40-45 hours worked per week.
