Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our health services team. The successful candidate will provide direct professional nursing services to students under the supervision of the Health Services Coordinator and assigned school nurse supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication according to District Policy and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide direct nursing care to students, including health assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Implement and manage school health services to promote health and wellness in the school community.
  • Collaborate with health services staff to ensure compliance with professional standards, District Policy, and state/local mandates.
  • Participate in curriculum development projects and contribute to the development of health education programs.
  • Provide nursing services to students in assigned schools and/or locations, with flexibility to adapt to changing district needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services and Health Services Coordinator.
Requirements
  • Current state license to practice as a LPN in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Licensure in good standing.
  • Prefer a minimum of 3 years nursing experience in pediatrics and/or students with disabilities.
  • Current Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Prefer computer literacy and competency in use of existing technology.
Terms of Employment

This is a nine-month position with salary to be established by the Board of Education.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy.
