Key Responsibilities:
1. **Clinical Duties:**
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Execute therapeutic procedures in alignment with established orthopedic standards.
- Formulate and implement patient care plans based on clinical findings and patient history.
2. **Patient Interaction:**
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their health status, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Address patient inquiries about medications, dietary needs, and activity levels.
3. **Documentation and Record Keeping:**
- Utilize the Electronic Medical Record system to maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with best practice workflows in documentation.
4. **Surgical Assistance:**
- Assist in surgical procedures, including first assist roles and post-operative care.
- Participate in hospital rounds and contribute to the formulation of treatment plans for hospitalized patients.
5. **Collaboration and Coordination:**
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Engage with referring specialists to facilitate comprehensive treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
- Proven competency in orthopedic practice through case volume or additional education.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Hampshire.
- Completion of a first assist program is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained throughout employment.
