Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Under the administrative supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, we are seeking a highly skilled Oncology/Infusions Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Huggins Hospital. This individual will work collaboratively with physicians and other Advanced Practice Professionals to provide comprehensive care to Oncology and Infusion patients.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to departmental objectives
- Report concerns and problems as they arise, ensuring confidentiality and maintaining a culture of service excellence
- Ensure accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record and maintain up-to-date knowledge base through educational programs
- Collaborate with Oncology Medical Director, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive treatment plans, including chemotherapy monitoring and clearing, management of hypersensitivity reactions, and other related tasks
- Work with referring providers, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate, monitor, generate orders for, and clear patients requiring non-chemotherapy infusions
- Attend and participate in a minimum of 50% department staff meetings and sign off on review of 100% department staff meeting minutes
- Complete all required annual education on or before the due date and develop educational programs within area of expertise
- Collaborate with clinical team to meet staff and patient educational needs
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Oncology required, certification preferred
- Licensed by the State of NH as an APRN or PA, and active unrestricted DEA Registration
