About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Clean and lubricate machinery components, including shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, including slitters, collectors, high-speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
  • Perform building maintenance, including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
  • Identify and repair electrical issues as they arise
  • Familiarize yourself with our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and log labor and parts according to established expectations
  • Be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required
  • Participate in our on-call program and be prepared to work additional hours on off-shifts due to on-call requirements
  • Understand and adhere to quality, PPE, safety, and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a plastic manufacturing environment; ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing
  • PLC experience preferred
  • Experience with and ability to use various types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred
  • Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred
