About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician III and IV plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall operation and appearance of the facility. This individual will utilize their trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and safety skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently under limited supervision, with a sense of urgency and a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment to diagnose and repair issues with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with onsite management to ensure all projects, documentation, and facilities are kept current and available.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly inspections of the facility, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
  • Manage assigned work orders, recording time and materials needed to complete repairs, and request necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks through proper channels.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with electrical distribution, wiring, transformers, and switchgears.
  • 5+ years of experience working with plumbing/pipefitting, carpentry work, and blueprint reading.
  • 3+ years of work order management systems.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and pass a drug screen.

Maintenance Tech III Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous Vendor and subcontract management experience.

Maintenance Tech IV Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous Vendor and subcontract management experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, hot(summertime) and cold(wintertime) conditions, and loud noises.
  • Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment.
  • Ability to perform tasks wearing the appropriate or required PPE, which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
  • Must be able to work at heights and on scissor lifts, boom lifts.
