Solar Sales Professional Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Solar Sales Professional to join our team at ProSolar Systems Caribbean. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for using your knowledge of our products and services to connect with customers and generate sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a territory with a population of around 10,000 people
  • Become an expert in renewable energy and smart home products and their benefits to the consumer
  • Help families save money through our consumer-focused sales practice
  • Closing contracts confidently with new homes and families while gaining outside business development expertise
  • Making cold calls to sales leads or taking calls from prospective customers
  • Building a relationship with customers by introducing them to solar products
  • Answering questions about the product and meeting customer needs
  • Business to consumer outside and virtual sales consulting and full circle project management
  • Preparing for appointments by building proposals, presentations, and energy audits
  • Conducting an effective, powerful, and educational client-specific presentation that results in a positive experience at every appointment
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly sales appointment and revenue goals
  • Maintaining leads, opportunities, and all inter-departmental communications using CRM
  • Maintaining and immediately updating notes on all client appointments in the CRM
  • Confidently discussing options and closing contracts
  • Providing customer service and generating referral sales
  • Identifying prospective customers for potential leads to generate a pipeline
  • Completing and submitting all necessary paperwork for each project
  • Participating in company events to prospect and generate sales
  • Participating in company training and meetings
  • Networking and looking for opportunities for engagement to build a client base
  • Representing ProSolar's brand
  • Staying educated on the newest solar energy products and technologies and financing options
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Solar sales or relevant outside sales experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Sales experience is a must
  • Enthusiastic representation of our company and products
  • Ability to present information in a persuasive manner
  • Competitive in nature
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to drive to client locations (both residential and commercial)
  • Availability of six days a week, including nights and weekends. Some on-call availability.
Benefits:
  • Immensely high earning potential. The average annual compensation of a first-year sales representative is $90,000 - $140,000, but for our top performers, the earning potential is dramatically higher
  • Bonus and commission
